It’s been a long time coming Cowboy Sailors, but we’re finally here…
Entries are officially OPEN for the 50th Hobie Cat National Championships, taking place in Jervis Bay, NSW, at the widely renowned Vincentia Sailing Club.
The tension is building, the sailors are training and the wind gods are working tirelessly as we all begin to prepare for what will be the largest Hobie Nationals in history. This will, without a doubt, be the Hobie event of a lifetime, one that you most definitely will not want to miss.
With both rounds of the NSW State Championships all done and dusted, along with the Western Australian, Victorian and most recently Queensland States all wrapped up, the overall Australian Championship is cooking up to be epic, with over 70 boats recorded in both the Hobie 16 & 14 Open classes. If you haven’t already, check out the overall Australian Championship Rankings via the ANHCA website.
All the registration information for the 50th Hobie Cat Nationals can be found via the Hobie Cat Nationals Webpage, including the notice of race, schedule of events and local accommodation. Entry for both Series 1 & 2 can be found via their individual regatta pages.
So, Cowboy Sailors, it’s time to start tuning your boats, placing your bets and hitting the water in preparation for the long awaited reunion of the entire Australian Hobie Family.
Until then … we’ll be seeing you all very soon at the infamous Bad News Regatta, held out of Currumbin Alley, along with the greatest Nationals training event of all time, the 23rd Hobie 16 World Championships, taking place in Spain this September.
