Dear Hobie Sailors,
This letter is coming to you from the ANHCA on behalf of your State Hobie Class Association. Please note all correspondence regarding meeting minutes, proxy forms and items of general business need to go back to your State Association/delegate in order to be presented at the AGM.
Please be advised that the 2022/23 ANHCA AGM will be held on 1 January, 2023 at the Vincentia Sailing Club. The meeting will be held in the late afternoon, time to be advised at a later date.
The business of the AGM (as defined in the constitution) is as follows:
- To confirm the Minutes of the preceding Annual General Meeting and of any meeting held
since that Annual General Meeting (see attachment); - To receive from the Committee reports upon the transactions of the ANHCA during the
preceding year; - To elect the Executive Committee of the State Delegates;
- To receive and consider any general business as may be considered appropriate by the committee.
Attendance at the AGM:
Please note that attendance at the AGM shall be limited to the outgoing and incoming Executive Committee Officers, the incoming State Delegates and one observer nominated by and from each state. The observer may have the right to speak with no voting rights.
Each member of the Committee shall be entitled to appoint another member of the State Association as his proxy by notice given to the secretary no later than twenty-four (24) hours before the time of the meeting in respect of which the proxy is appointed.
Election of Office Bearers:
Attached to this email are nomination notices inviting nominations for the position of President, Secretary and Treasurer. Nominations must be handled through each affiliated State Association and received by the ANHCA secretary (anhcasecretary@gmail.com) by 23 December, 2022.
Each year all office bearer roles are open to nominations, however, it must be noted that James Rhodes, our Nationals Treasurer, will be stepping down and we are looking to fill his role at the AGM. We thank James for his commitment to the ANHCA in his role as treasurer, and also his ongoing association with the Vincentia Sailing Club.
