Mannering Park Amateur Sailing Club is at an ideal location for sailing, located in the Northern NSW Central Coast region at the southern end of the beautiful Lake Macquarie. Mannering Park, nestled at the end of a peninsula, has been home to regattas since March 1969 and the club was officially established in September. Catamarans were introduced to the club in the 2002-03 season and the fleet has grown strongly since then.
Mannering Park Sailing Club will be offering a full regatta service including race management, rescue and race committee boats, bar and canteen service as well as a Regatta Dinner on Saturday Night, which will all be included in the entry fees.
The Club boasts a lawned and safe rigging launch area and full club facilities including kitchen, bar and amenities including change areas, toilets and hot showers. Boats can be left rigged on the lawns overnight and the area has a reputation for being safe.
The waters of Lake Macquarie offer perfect conditions for Hobie Catamaran racing as it is a safe enclosed lake, with deep and flat waters with consistent sea breezes. It is large enough to set courses for most conditions.
Mannering Park and its surrounding areas offer a range accommodation to suit all needs including houses, apartments, hotels, motels and camping/caravan/cabin facilities.
The closest accommodation is Lake Macquarie Monterey Tourist Park, which is located next door to the club. The details are as follows:
