SI's Entries Event InfoThe ‘NSW Youth Multihull Sailing Coaching Camp 2025 | Sponsored by Vaikobi’ event is for youth sailors U23, comprises a three day coaching clinic and a three day regatta. All junior and youth classes and classes sailed by sailors under 23 are welcome.
This event is focussed on growing participation in junior and youth multihull classes, increasing sailors’ skills, fostering social connection, and building friendship and community between our young sailors.
Coaching Clinic
The 3 day coaching clinic is run by Australian Sailing qualified coaches and will include a guest speaker presentation. A range of activities will be planned for the clinic, with a range of on and off the water activities (weather dependent).
Wildcat Regatta & NSW Multihull Youth Cup
Put your skills to the test in Great Lakes Sailing Club’s Wildcat Regatta, the largest open off the beach catamaran regatta in the country. For over 50 years, the Wildcat Regatta has produced some of Australia’s greatest catamaran sailors such as Olympians Darren Bundock, Jason Waterhouse, Lisa Darmanin, Brin Liddell and many more. There will be some amazing prizes to be won from our sponsors and generous gift vouchers alike.
Green Fleet
The Green fleet program is targeted towards sailors who have completed Tackers 3 learn to sail program or equivalent and who are starting to learn to race. The focus is around having fun and learning new skills as an introduction to racing. Green Fleet is open to Open Skiff and Hobie Wave sailors. The program will consist of coaching, racing, fun and games and be conducted by qualified instructors/foundation coaches and is an ideal way to participate in your first regatta.

Coaching Clinic
- NOTE: There is a limit on numbers for each class for the Coaching Clinic and registration closes at midnight on Thursday 25th September, to avoid disappointment please register as soon as possible.

- NOTE: Each skipper needs to enter separately, if you are registering a two person boat, the skipper registers and adds the crew details as part of the process.

Volunteer Registration
Being a volunteer at the 2025 Youth Multihull Sail is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the many different aspects of sailing on and off the water.
At Australian Sailing and the NSW Hobie Cat Association, we recognise that volunteers are a crucial part of the smooth running and success of the regattas, and we sincerely appreciate everyone willing to be involved with catamaran regattas right across NSW.
With various jobs available, there will surely be a job for you! You will be able to indicate the area that you are most interested in when filling out the online registration form.
As a Volunteer, you will receive the following benefits:

- Most importantly, knowledge from helping deliver this fabulous youth multihull sailing regatta.

Great Lake Sailing Club
Located on the shores of Wallis Lake within Booti Booti National Park, and only a couple hundred metres from Seven Mile Beach and the Pacific Ocean.
Accommodation
As part of the Wildcat Regatta, all participants are welcome to stay on the grounds at GLSC in Booti Booti National Park, with the cost for camping will be included within both entry forms. Additional camp grounds close by can be found below:
